Water4 making a 50FPS difference? (A little more detail about what’s going on) Hello everyone, so recently I’ve been working a project, and it includes a fairly large terrain with lots of objects everywhere. I knew performance would be an issue I’d have to deal with, but it’s way to early to get 20 FPS 😄 So I knew I had to start tackling the problem early on. I started reading up on performance, trying to figure out the profiler(and failing to do so 😄) trying to use LODs and other...

My setup: RTX3060 running dual 4K monitors @60Hz. Game is set to Full Desktop mode. Can share more details if necessary. The problem: Just like that. If water is not on screen, performance is great, but once water appears there’s a major drop in FPS. Tried to save video but damn GeForce app just recorded audio. UPDATE: In case it is important, I was observing a game in 2X speed. Reducing the speed to 1X did not help though.

While flying over water . . . In most places in the world, my FPS drops to around 3-4, turn LOD down to 10 from 300 increases back to 40-50fps. Soon as I hit land again I turn LOD back up to 300 and FPS is fine until i hit water again… For some reason it does not like water and FPS plummet to the ground.

See AlsoFani Kolarova Political PartyHi everyone, I’m using Water.js (not Water2.js) like the ocean example. The ocean alone work perfectly (60 FPS) but when I add an object (78806 vertices) above it, FPS drops to 24. FPS is also 60 when the object is alone with no water. Is this caused by the reflection of the object on the water ? How could I have both , water and object, with good FPS ? Thank you all for your help

Frame rate (also known as FPS) is the frequency rate at which a video device produces unique consecutive images called frames. Frames are still pictures that when in a sequence form a fluid animation that is the basis for all moving media. Frame rate is most often expressed in frames per second (FPS). Low FPS will result in a "choppy" gaming experience, as far as looking like a slideshow in extreme cases. Difficult calculations (like blowing up large amounts of TNT or spawning in a large number

The Silent Power of FPS: Unveiling the Role of Feet Per Second in Environmental & Water Treatment In the world of environmental and water treatment, seemingly simple concepts often hold the key to complex solutions. One such concept, often overlooked but vital for achieving efficient and effective results, is Feet Per Second (FPS). While FPS may initially appear to be a basic unit of measurement for speed, its applications in environmental and water treatment are far more nuanced and impactful. Understanding the Importance of FPS: Flow Rate: FPS plays a critical role in determining the flow rate of water or other fluids within treatment systems. By precisely measuring the speed at which the fluid moves through pipes, pumps, and treatment units, engineers can optimize system design and operation. A proper flow rate ensures effective mixing, contact time with treatment chemicals, and overall system efficiency. Hydraulics and Design: FPS is crucial for understanding the hydraulic behavior of water treatment systems. Factors like pipe diameter, fluid viscosity, and pressure gradients all influence the flow rate and contribute to optimal design. This knowledge helps engineers ensure proper flow distribution, prevent clogging, and minimize energy consumption. Treatment Efficiency: FPS impacts the effectiveness of treatment processes. For example, in wastewater treatment, the residence time of wastewater in settling tanks or aeration basins is directly related to FPS. Proper f...
